Now you are able to use miniUSB-cabel and Comet together with Google Chrome!

There has been published an extension for Google Chrome (Chrome versions which allow extensions), which enables a Comet user to use miniUSB-cable together with Comet and Chrome. This IE-Tab Extension is intalled to Chrome. It allows Internet Explorer to run inside Chrome browser. With this extension you are able e.g. to load money into Comet by using cable and Comet together with Chrome (earlier this has been possible only with Internet Explorer).

IE-Tab extension runs only in Chrome which allows to install extension. Please also note that the operating system must be Windows XP/Vista/7 (32/64 bit).

Install the IE-Tab extension in to your Chrome and after that continue to install Comet USB driver and Active X according to original instructions. If you have installed earlier the Comet USB-driver and active X, you do not need to do that again.

You have to have authority to install add-ons to your browser. Following instructions are made by using Windows XP and Google Chrome (4.0.249.89).

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

1. Open your Google Chrome browser, and download the add-on from this site: http://www.chromeextensions.org/utilities/ie-tab/

Start the installation by clicking "Add to Chrome"-button.

PLEASE NOTE! If you use Internet Explorer -browser, etension is not installed!

2. There appears a warning to the bottom left corner of your Chrome browser. Please read it and select "Continue"

3. Confirm the installation by selecting "Install".

4. After completed installation, reboot your Chrome browser.

 

  

5. Open www.comet.fi by using Chrome.

 

  

6. Click the Internet Explorer logo/symbol (blue coloured E-letter) on right side of the site address field, to enter Chrome into Internet Explorer -mode.

7. Now you can continue installing the USB-driver and Active X. Instruction are found here.

If you have used Comet and Internet Explorer earlier, or you have installed driver and Active X earlier, you do not have to do it again. 

 

 

 

 

8. When you have installed the Comet USB-driver and Active X control, you are able to reload money. Select "Load money into Comet" from the main menu and  then "Through connecting your Comet to PC via USB"
